A Longtime Addict

Joshua was an active addict involved with drugs for as long as he can remember. He went to prison at 26 years old and did fourteen months on the inside. While in prison he made the decision to start a new life. He soon realized that everything in his life would have to change and he developed the motivation to make those changes.

Committed to a New Journey

At 28 years old Joshua has created a new life that began with prison reentry programming. Having been introduced to the tools that help individuals stay clean, he is now maintained sobriety for more than two years. He is grateful to have the support of GEO alumni members, counselors, family, and fellow employees at his job.

Mission Accomplished

Joshua is proud of what he has been able to accomplish since completing his programming. After writing a list of goals down on paper, he has accomplished all within a year of his release from prison. He has acquired his GED and is currently enrolled in college. He is employed full time, has his own home and a cat, a vehicle, and has the credibility of his family and children back. Joshua values his new life, family and friends. He loves what he has been able to accomplish since he committed to a new journey in sobriety.

Whatever it takes, stay sober and change everything.
